Earth is our Elder and holds the long view. Kin* (see below) is the reason we are here, and knows where we are and could be going. In these changing times, Earth is calling us to lean in, Listen, and remember who we truly are. Join us for Earth-Centered Ritual that brings us into direct relationship with the wise Earth.

This is a mentorship directly with Earth as an Elder. It is for folks who already have a foundation of Earth-connection in their lives. Gathering together allows us to go deeper in our own direct relationship with compassionate Earth, and feel the pulse and beating heart of that relationship in our personal and collective lives more consistently. If we were made for these times, we can only do what we were meant to by connecting to what is bigger than us, what loves us and what sees clearly. Come and feel the relief of being held by a community of humans and the more-than-human world, and be a part of this tending in service to aliveness.

Through Earth-Centered Ritual, drumming journeys, partner practices, and embodied earthing, we will:

  • Lean more deeply into a relationship with Earth as an Elder.

  • Bring that field of blessing forward in an embodied way to support you and your community.

  • Remember in your bones that you are not separate from Earth.

  • Feel the way your presence with Earth nourishes and reciprocates you and the planet on a deep soul level.

*In Braiding Sweetgrass, Robin Wall Kimmerer redefines the relationship with nature from property to kinship, stating, "These beings are not 'it,' they are our relatives". She emphasizes that recognizing nonhuman beings as kin—plants, animals, and the land—is essential for fostering gratitude and reciprocity, transforming how humans interact with the living world.”

"The language reminds us, in every sentence, of our kinship with all of the animate world."

Kimmerer often discusses "ki" as a pronoun for living beings (rather than "it") to signify this connection. Kin is the plural pronoun for living beings, or in this case, the entire living system of the planet.

After nearly a decade of study, assistantship, and mentorship with her beloved teacher, Rachel Weitz, Sarah Humphrey now collaborates with Rachel in her latest offering, Earth as Elder. Through embodiment teachings, she will offer support in deepening the participants’ integration of the wisdom within this work. This offering takes place on the land she and her husband steward—land with which Rachel has cultivated a relationship over years of holding offerings there.

EARTH AS ELDER: The EMBODIMENT Practices
(An optional addition to Earth as Elder with Sarah Humphrey)

When we are in a deeply conscious relationship with the body — a relationship of listening, feeling, and honoring — we learn how to hear, understand, and follow the messages of our innate truth. These messages lead us and guide us on our path.
We remember that we are a part of all things here on earth, just as they are a part of us.
How we care for and tend our bodies matters, because it affects the whole.
It is time to listen to the body from presence and awareness, so that we may serve our highest unfolding and be in service to the unfolding of all beings of the earth.

Within this space…

  • We will learn to listen and understand how to honor and follow the wise guidance the body offers, for the body is our sacred and precious piece of earth.

  • We will connect with the body in a deeply conscious way and feel how we belong to all things.

  • We will honor sensation, allowing it to guide us into wholeness — unwinding and releasing what does not serve us or our sacred Earth Mother, strengthening and claiming what does.

  • And we will deepen the integration and embodiment of what has been revealed through Earth As Elder

Space for the Embodiment Practices is limited to 8 participants
Time:  2:45 - 3:45pm following each Earth as Elder gathering
Price: $175-$250 (pay what honors your budget)
Where: Sarah’s home (same space as Earth as Elder’s gathering)
If you are interested in adding this on to your Earth as Elder journey please email Sarah directly.

Please note:  The first session of Embodiment Practices will be from 2:45-4:15 and attendance is necessary (if you have to miss for some reason and still want to participate, it can be made up in a one-on-one session at an additional cost)

About Sarah Humphrey…MoonMamaMovement

Screen Shot 2024-01-29 at 7.32.59 PM.png

With over 20 years devoted to the integration of body and spirit, she is an embodied movement teacher and energetic, spiritual healing practitioner whose work is rooted in lived transformation.

Her journey began in childhood, when movement—first through gymnastics, then dance—became both sanctuary and medicine. What started as physical expression evolved into a lifelong path of healing and inquiry. Studies in psychology, Pilates, yoga, and other movement modalities, combined with subtle energy work and shamanic healing practices, deepened her understanding of trauma, awakening, and authentic embodiment.

Guided by a conscious relationship with the Divine Mother and the sacred Earth, motherhood became her greatest initiation. Through it, she experienced profound healing, unconditional love, and a reclamation of the sacred feminine. As a mother, wife, hearthkeeper, teacher, and healer, she lives attuned to the rhythms of Earth and Moon.

Through MoonMamaMovement, she calls women home—to their bodies, their intuitive wisdom, and their sovereign feminine power. Her work invites remembrance, balance, and deep embodied truth. She believes the body is the bridge between the divine and the earth, and it is her calling to teach others how to cultivate a conscious relationship with this bridge, honoring each woman’s unique and sacred service to the world.

About Rachel

As a land dreamer, plant companion, and spirit ally, Rachel is a bridge to accompany others in their own direct relationship to earth and spirit. Her path has been cracked open, carved, and polished by many transformative life initiations, human and more than human teachers, and 20 years of study and practice in her Rocky Mountain foothills community. Her medicine continues to refine itself as a deep listener and friend to the land and the loving more than human world. She is known to weave magical and transformative group containers for earth-centered ritual and to amplify other’s direct connection to earth and spirit. Through direct relationship with Earth, she’s in service to love, the plants, playfulness, and the deep remembering of our true nature. She gives thanks for her many wise teachers, including her husband and daughter.
